Why are faculty and staff asked to make a contribution?
As we reach out to our benefactors for their support, it is important to show that faculty and staff members are committed to the University and the students they serve each and every day. What better way to show this than through 100 percent employee participation?
I can afford a small gift. Can I give at a lower level, and will that really help?
Absolutely! All gifts count, no matter the size. Your participation says you believe in Fort Hays State and is viewed by the outside world as a vote of confidence in the University.
What is participation rate and why is it important?
When the College applies for certain government and foundation grants, the approval and the amount could be determined by employee participation rate of giving. Participation rate is also used in college rankings. The FHSU Foundation staff likes to share with alumni of each department that staff are fully supportive of the given initiatives.
Where does my contribution go?
You can designate whether you would like your gift to support academic programs, athletics, facilities, general operations, or student scholarships.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, all donations are tax deductible. When you make a contribution, you receive an official acknowledgement to use for your tax purposes.
What is the 2012 Campus Drive goal?
$170,000 and 100% participation.
I gave through the Tiger Call Phonathon. Am I a “participant” of the Campus Drive?
Yes! If you have completed payment of your Tiger Call pledge, you’ll be counted as a participant.
How can I make a contribution?
- You may give through Payroll Deduction. Payments will be made through bi-monthly payroll deductions. A deduction of just $5.00 each pay period will provide a total gift of $130 over a 12-month period. Just download a payroll deduction form from the Campus Drive web site or return the card that is enclosed with the Campus Drive postcard series.
- You may write a check made payable to FHSU Foundation. Return it in campus mail or by regular mail to the addresses listed below.
- You may pledge using the return card enclosed with the Campus Drive postcard series. We’ll invoice you at the appropriate time. Just fill out the information to let us know when and how you will make your payments. (For example: You can make a pledge of $50 and make payments throughout the year – payments of $5 monthly for 10 months or $10 monthly for five months)
- The Foundation is equipped to process online contributions securely by clicking HERE.
