Welcome to the FHSU Foundation website. My name is Tim Chapman, president
and CEO of the Foundation.
Our organization has been in existence since 1946. The FHSU Foundation's broad mission is to raise, manage and invest
the funds that are given to the university.
As you can imagine, the list of budgetary needs of FHSU is long. Across
campus there are opportunities to expand and build new facilities, enhance
faculty positions, establish scholarships and support specific departmental
programs.
The individuals who give to FHSU come from all walks of life and have
a wide range of interests when it comes to supporting the university.
We are very flexible and can identify a particular giving vehicle to
match a donor’s investment with their desired goals and designation.
The opportunities for partnership are endless, and we invite you to contact
us if you are interested in financially supporting FHSU.
The growth of Fort Hays State University in recent years has been the
benchmark for Kansas Regent schools in academic excellence, virtual learning
and from an international perspective. Our alumni and friends are truly
supporting the students who rely on FHSU to provide an education that
will allow them to succeed in all areas of their careers.
We are working closely with departments
on campus to identify how the Foundation can meet their needs. We have
made a commitment to become more visible in our approach and we are touching
more individuals in our quest to build partnerships throughout the country.
One way we are accomplishing that is by connecting personally with those
who may not have been in touch with Fort Hays State for many years and
bringing them back into the fold.
As an organization we are moving in a direction that will allow everyone
who wants to be a part of this change, to do so. We want friends of the
university to be key leaders and to have a role in making new things
happen. We are re-evaluating our leadership, trustee and committee structure
to enable new interaction.
Ultimately, the students will be the benefactors of this change and FHSU
will increasingly be seen as a leader among leaders in education, research
and service.
