The Community Drive Campaign is an opportunity for local Hays businesses and FHSU to partner together, to join in a commitment of educating the next generation of community leaders. Annual gifts play a vital role in any fundraising effort; an investment in FHSU is an investment in our community. Over 50 members of the community volunteer their time visiting local businesses asking for their support of Tiger Nation. In the 2013-2014 academic year well over 250 businesses throughout the Hays area gave a gift to FHSU. Please join us in this effort!

What can local businesses support?
Raising scholarship dollars will help attract the best and brightest students to FHSU, who will develop into the next generation of community leaders. The number one need for FHSU students is scholarship dollars which is what the new President, Dr. Mirta Martin, is pushing for. Support of scholarships can help give deserving students the chance to succeed at FHSU which, by extensions, is an investment in the future of your company.
While Fort Hays State University is many things, we are first and foremost an institution of higher education. Each academic department are in need of funding for classroom resources, lab supplies, technology updates, and travel to conferences, competitions and presentations.
With more than 350 athletes competing in 16 men's and women's sports for FHSU, the need for athletic support is significant. Athletics are a window to the university and the community. Strong athletic programs bring high visibility and become a source of successful fundraising from the university's alumni and friends throughout the nation.
A gift to the athletic department can be designated to athletic scholarships, which serve as the most effective recruiting tool of all, or to any specific sport, or to help other athletic initiatives. Other Athletic gifts can be towards the annual Athletic Auction, which has become one of the most exciting and interactive events each summer with student-athletes and coaches present!
You want it? You got it!
FHSU students participate in Greek organizations, intramural programs, make use of the Forsyth Library, and attend performances of the Encore Series, and a great deal of other activities – all of which have constant financial needs. Furthermore, many of the student support services such as the Kelly Center, the Office of Student Affairs and the Safe-Ride program are also housed in the Campus Life area of the campaign. These are vital services that provide important support for many areas of campus.
