|As faculty and staff members here at Fort Hays State University, you already make a difference every day. Now we’re asking you to be the difference.
When talking with donors or corporations a frequent question that we are asked is, “what does your faculty and staff participation look like?” Securing funds from outside sources is a difficult job and being able to demonstrate the commitment of the campus community on paper is an excellent tool.
Last year 40% of current faculty and staff members gave a gift to FHSU throughout the fiscal year. To show our appreciation of the gifts that are received the Foundation is giving away an iPad mini to one employee who makes a donation before March 15th, 2013 at noon. As it has every year, a gift to the university at anytime throughout the fiscal year counts as Campus Drive participation. If you have already given a gift through the Tiger Call Phonathon or the I Fed the Tiger virtual campaign then you are already entered to win!
It really is that simple. Give a gift to FHSU and you have a chance to be the proud owner a brand new iPad mini. Gifts given to FHSU are tax deductible and do a world of good for both the university and the students we serve. You can support any area of campus. You can support student scholarships, you can support your own department, you can support the Sternberg Museum, or just about anywhere else on campus.
40% participation is on par with many of our peer institutions. It’s average. As we’ve heard it said around campus, average is over. I urge you to give a gift to Fort Hays State University. It’s an institution that is well worth supporting and there just might be an iPad mini in it for you.
