LAST CHANCE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PICKEN HALL RENOVATION TAX CREDIT PROGRAM
Not only are the holidays right around the corner, but so is the end of the year and your last chance to take advantage of the Picken Hall Renovation Tax Credit Program. The Kansas Deferred Maintenance Tax Credit Program is a 50% state of Kansas tax credit for contributions made to deferred maintenance issues. Fort Hays State University applied the credit program to the renovations of Picken Hall; the flag ship building on campus.
2012 is the final year to receive the tax credit for gifts made through this initiative. First initiated in 2007, the state of Kansas allocated a set number of credits to each state regent institution. These credits were to stimulate donors to support the various institutions to help supplement and underwrite deferred maintenance on the state educational campuses.
There are still tax credits available on a first-come, first –served basis and can be carried forward for three years. This is your final opportunity to benefit from a project that not only supports the campus that you cherish, but you can make your gift at discounted values based on the credit.
