Save Sternberg

The Sternberg Museum of Natural History is a treasure worth protecting, but it needs your help! We must raise $855,000 by December 31, 2026, to help sustain Sternberg’s future operations. Without reaching this goal, we may not have sufficient funding to cover ongoing operating costs.

Sternberg is more than a museum. It is a true gem that makes Hays and northwest Kansas unique. We are fortunate to have an institution of this caliber right here in our own backyard – and we cannot take it for granted.

Keeping this cherished institution open will take all of us. Every gift matters. Every share matters. Every person who helps spread the word brings us closer to our $855,000 goal. Together, we can help protect the Sternberg Museum and ensure future generations have the opportunity to experience the wonder that has made it such a special place.

If we fall short of reaching the goal, money raised will be used where it’s needed most to support Sternberg’s collections and its educational mission for the life of the institution.
