Support Lady Tiger Basketball

Tiger Nation,

It is with great excitement that we share that our Fort Hays State Women’s Basketball team is planning an incredible 7-day trip to Hawaii this December to play two games.  

The opportunity is tremendous, but not one that we can reach alone. We are almost a quarter of the way to our $50,000 fundraising goal to fund this once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we are asking you, our family, and our friends to get in the game and push us over the top! 

We will spend most of our time in Hilo on the big island in Hawaii. Some of the highlights of our trip include:

• Two games against Division II opponents that could play a major role in making the National Tournament later in the season
• A trip to the Volcano National Park
• Hilo Ocean Adventure, including a Snorkel Trip at Sea Turtle Lagoon and Black Sand Beach
• A day trip to Kona
• A trip to Richardson Ocean Park and Akaka Falls

 Our time in beautiful Hawaii will also offer our team valuable bonding time. We strive to create a top-notch student-athlete experience at Fort Hays State. Very few Division II student-athletes have been able to take a trip like this, and we think they have earned it through their many hours of hard work. The memories they make on this trip will last a lifetime. In addition, the two games we will play could prove critical late in the year.

 All gifts will push us toward our goal. Here are several giving levels breaking down our specific needs:

• $2,000 – BUZZER BEATER– With a donation at the Buzzer Beater level, you can help offset the entire cost for one Tiger player’s trip to Hawaii.
• 1,500 – HALF-COURT SHOT– With a donation at the Half-Court Shot level, you can cover the cost of one Tiger player’s flight and on-island experiences.
• $1,000 – THREE-POINTER – With a donation at the Three-Pointer level, you can help with the cost of the flights for one Tiger player participating in this experience.
• $500 – MID-RANGE JUMPER– With a donation at the Mid-Range Jumper level, you can help pay for one meal for the entire team.
• $100 – LAYUP– With a donation at the Layup level, you can help with the cost of one player’s meals for the week.
